About the company

ALTISSIA is a Belgian public company based in Louvain-la-Neuve, which develops and markets an online language learning platform (e-learning & blended learning).

ALTISSIA offers online courses in 5 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, and Dutch.

The development of the project and lessons started in May 2002.

Jean-Paul Callut, Doctor of Philosophy and Arts, created and developed ALTISSIA's pedagogical and linguistic concept which is based on his wide experience in the conception of language learning programmes.

The company ALTISSIA International S.A. was founded in 2005 and has been growing rapidly ever since with the aim of becoming a major player in Europe for language learning, using e-learning and blended learning.
